The KINC has been appointed by the Rugby Football Union to implement its activation strategy in the run up to Rugby World Cup 2015.

The sports & lifestyle marketing, sponsorship and representation agency won a competitive pitch having developed an integrated marketing campaign that will – according to the agency – ‘galvanise the passion of England fans to help carry the team during Rugby World Cup 2015’.

Reporting into RFU head of marketing Nic Fletcher and brand marketing manager Karl Roche, The KINC will develop the primary creative concept and deliver an integrated communications plan to drive awareness and engagement.

Karl Roche said: ‘The KINC’s dynamic solution harnessed the many RFU assets around a big idea with the scale to mobilise existing England fans and engage many new fans as the excitement of Rugby World Cup 2015 builds.’

Paul Knipe, managing director of The KINC, stated: ‘We’re super excited to be working with one of the most long established sporting associations in the world. We specifically want to bring our high-energy sports marketing approach to rugby and the RFU’s World Cup campaign is the perfect platform.’

The agency has recently been involved in the media amplification of Castrol’s FIFA World Cup 2014 campaign, Footkhana featuring Ken Block and Neymar, while other key clients include Skullcandy Headphones and Monster Energy.
