RFU Looks To Outdo Boks In Digital Campaign

England and South Africa will be involved in a different type of battle ahead of their Investec International clash at Twickenham – as the RFU looks to outdo SARU on Facebook.

The RFU has set up a special Facebook campaign in a bid to get more supporters becoming fans of its page than its Springbok counterparts.

The Springboks page is currently well ahead with 200,000 fans compared to the 135,000 that the RFU holds.

Head of digital media at the RFU Nick Shaw said of the campaign: ‘We did something similar to this for the Wales game during the Six Nations and the response from fans was astonishing.’

England take on the Springboks at Twickenham on 27th November as both teams look to build on promising starts to the end of year games.?
