Francesco Ricci Bitti has been unanimously re-elected for a third term of office
as president of the International Tennis Federation taking the Italian through
until 2011.

In addition to Ricci Bitti’s re-election for a further four years, all 12
members of the current ITF board of directors were also re-installed for a
further term – the first time this has happened during Ricci Bitti’s presidency.

Briton David Jude was also re-elected as honorary treasurer of the ITF with
all the appointments being made at the governing body’s annual general meeting
held in Tunisia over the weekend.

Jude reported to the board news of a substantial surplus in the ITF’s
finances – to be invested back into growing the game globally – while the board
also discussed ways it could work closer with the national tennis federations,
especially those hosting Grand Slam events.
