Director of corporate development at Setanta Richard Brooke is leaving just weeks after the television broadcaster lost rights to half of its Premier League TV matches in the auction for showing live games from 2010 to 2013.
Claiming the Irish TV company is undertaking a review of business strategy, Brooke will leave his role which included a wide range of responsibility in handling Setanta’s regulatory affairs.
Last month, Setanta lost out on a package of 23 Premier League Monday night games after submitting a bid that was well below what it currently pays.
Joining Setanta in 2005, Brooke leaves Setanta close after CEO of the Great Britain branch Mark O’Meara stepped down, as well as commercial director Mark Mohan.
