IT services company Ricoh has been announced as the official managed IT and document services partner of the Rugby Players’ Association (RPA).

Ricoh is a global technology company and will offer RPA members work experience opportunities through the Personal Development Programme (PDP) as well as take advantage of the RPA’s hospitality and events programme.

Chas Moloney, marketing director for Ricoh UK, said: “One of our top priorities as a company is to invest in people. We are therefore thrilled to be working with the RPA to help its members develop skills that they can utilise in their careers after rugby.

“As part of Ricoh’s mission to be a thought leader in the managed IT and document services sector, we do a lot of research into future of work, looking at how the way we work has been shaped throughout history and how the current trends are likely to shape the future global workplace. We are hoping to really add value to the RPA members by sharing this knowledge, on top of offering workplace opportunities across our eight lines of business.”

RPA Group CEO, Damian Hopley, said: “It’s fantastic to have Ricoh join our impressive family of partners. They will add great value to the Association and will be a huge benefit to our members through their support of our world class PDP.”

Last month the RPA announced a £7m multi-year funding deal with industry stakeholders, the Rugby Football Union (RFU) and Premiership Rugby Limited (PRL).
