Global sports and media company IMG has announced that James Robinson has joined as managing director of IMG Challenger World.
Robinson’s main role within IMG is to take responsibility for the operational and commercial success of 16 mass participation events, including the London Triathlon, Abu Dhabi Triathlon, Barcelona Triathlon and ‘Run to the beat’ in London.
IMG has highlighted that the key areas of growth will include cycling, running, Intelligent Sport and UK Challenge projects.
Robinson joins IMG from Upsulot Sports UK Ltd, part of the Lagardère sports group, where he worked as commercial director, responsible for all commercial and marketing aspects for the World Championship Series (WCS) and the WCS London event.
