Office equipment manufacturer Konica Minolta has signed up Brazilian footballer Ronaldinho to star in a new advertising campaign to promote the firm’s printers.

The £1.4m print advertising campaign starts later this month and will target the business community through ads in the national daily newspapers as well as The Economist and trade press.

The campaign comprises two different executions of the footballer showing the importance of having the right office equipment.

The first ad carries the strapline ‘The skills to win’ to promote Kinoca Minolta’s colour multifunctionals while the second creative emphasises a new generation of Konica Minolta bizhub multifunctionals and is accompanied with the catchphrase ‘Improve your game dramatically’.

The creative was developed by Hakuhodo and Konica Minolta’s marketing team in Japan. The media buying was handled by specialist international media planning and buying agency DWA.
