Joe Root has teamed up with the Village Hotel Club to represent the brand’s 28 hotel and gym complexes across the UK.
The Yorkshireman will become the face of Village Hotel Club throughout the year, as well as featuring across a number of unique promotions within the Village Pubs and Gyms. In addition, Root will carry the Village brand on his bat throughout the season when competing for both county and country, as England face two series against the sub-continent powerhouses of Sri Lanka and Pakistan.
“It’s great to be associated with Village Hotel Club,” commented Root. “I know some of the guys will see the funny side of me having Village on my bat, but the facilities are second to none and will provide the perfect base for me to relax and keep up my fitness levels throughout the busy summer of cricket.”
“From the modern bedrooms, to the fantastic food, relaxed atmosphere, and high-end gym facilities – Village Hotels really do provide a great place to relax and workout,” continued Root. “I’m looking forward to working with the Village team and using the Hotels and Gyms as important parts of my preparations.”
Gary Davis, CEO of Village Hotel Club, commented on the new signing: “It’s great to have Joe join the Village team, he is one of the greatest cricketing talents in the world today, and has played a key role in England’s success over recent years.”
“As a world-class sportsman who travels the country, we feel that he is the perfect fit for the Village brand, and hope that he will be able to highlight the excellent array of facilities we have on offer and encourage people to get active with Village Gyms.”
