The Tour of Britain and Rouleur have announced that Rouleur Magazine will continue as the sponsor of The Tour of Britain’s Combativity Award in 2013, rewarding the most aggressive and combatitive riding during Britain’s biggest professional cycle race.
Following the success of the 2012 Rouleur Combativity Award, awarded daily to the most attacking rider during last September’s Tour of Britain, Rouleur will once again be rewarding spectacular riding with a selection of regional cheeses during The Tour.
Rouleur will also continue to be the Official Cycling Magazine of The Tour of Britain. Bruce Sandell, MD of Rouleur LTD, said of the deal: ‘We are very excited for Rouleur to be working with SweetSpot on The Tour of Britain again this year. Racing sits at the heart of our brand – so it is great to be working with the UK’s premier event, especially supporting the Combativity Award. Here’s to some exciting racing in September.’
Alastair Grant, commercial director of SweetSpot Group, the organisers and promoters of The Tour of Britain, said: ‘We are delighted to welcome the return of Rouleur to The Tour of Britain and look forward to working with them going forwards as we build up to the tenth anniversary edition of The Tour. This is the first of several announcements we look forward to making in the build-up to the launch of this year’s Tour of Britain, something we know cycling fans across this country are keenly awaiting.’
Full details of the 2013 Tour of Britain route will be announced at the National Launch, hosted by the London Film Museum on Thursday 21st March.
