The Rugby Players Association (RPA) has launched a new interactive rugby app, 15. The new online magazine will give every rugby fan a behind the scenes insight into the professional game and gets up close and personal to the players.

RPA CEO Damian Hopley said: ’15 is a great opportunity to get the inside track on the players, including what it takes to become a top professional and what the players do off the field. We are really excited about working with Digital Media Room, and we look forward to interacting with rugby fans in what promises to be a spectacular year ahead for the game.’

Last month the RPA reached an agreement with the Rugby Football Union and Premiership Rugby for a new pay deal on behalf England’s players to avoid any potential disputes in the build-up to the 2015 Rugby World Cup.

Meanwhile, the England team continued their successful start to the RBS 6 Nations with a hard-fought victory over Ireland in Dublin and remain the only side still on for the 2013 Grand Slam after Wales upset France in Paris and Scotland crushed Italy.

Sportindustry.biz spoke exclusively to Hopley in November about the need to ensure that professional rugby players are properly represented. Check out the full interview here.
