Rugby World Cup Seals Ineos Sponsorship

British multinational chemicals company INEOS has been announced as an host market official petrochemicals and hygiene sponsor of Rugby World Cup 2021, which takes place in New Zealand in October and November 2022.

INEOS will be adding the Rugby World Cup to its extensive sports sponsorship portfolio which also features rugby partners New Zealand Rugby’s (NZR) seven teams.

In addition to the rugby INEOS also has relationships with Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team; INEOS Grenadiers cycling team; INEOS Britannia sailing team; and football clubs OGC Nice and FC Lausanne-Sport.

Director of Communications & Corporate Affairs at INEOS Tom Crotty, said, “INEOS is proud to support the Rugby World Cup as it brings together the best athletes on the world stage.

“New Zealand’s rugby culture is unique, and this tournament will showcase excellence in women’s rugby in front of some of the most passionate fans in the world, and at the same time no doubt help inspire many people across the world to take up the sport. Rugby World Cup 2021 is taking place in New Zealand from 8th October to 12th November, in what will be the first time the event has been staged in the southern hemisphere.
