Sab Miller To Sponsor The Open

SAB Miller-owned beer brand Pilsner Urquell has struck a sponsorship deal to become the official beer of golf’s Open Championship.

SAB Miller has replaced Scottish & Newcastle as the tournament’s official supplier after agreeing a contract with event rights holder The R&A.

The five-year contract begins with immediate effect at this year’s tournament being held at the Royal Turnberry course.

The deal means all SABMiller group companies will be able to use the association with The Open Championship in their marketing while Pilsner Urquell will be served within all public and VIP hospitality areas at the tournament.
