SailGP has penned a five-year partnership with Emirates that designates the UAE flag carries as the league’s exclusive global airline partner ahead of season five.
Under the agreement, Emirates will become the title partner of the 2025 Great Britain Sail Grand Prix, which will take place on 19th and 20th July.
Next year’s race in Portsmouth will be F50 catamaran sailing series’ first UK event since 2022.
The airline will also remain in place as the title partner of the season opener Dubai Sail Grand Prix, which will be held at Mina Rashid on 23rd and 24th November.

As SailGP’s first ever airline partner, Emirates will receive brand visibility on the league’s F50 catamaran boats, and throughout TV broadcasts, which will include features such as the ‘Emirates Finish’ and ‘Emirates Fly Time’.
Emirates will additionally serve SailGP’s umpire partner from the start of the 2025/26 season, and will feature in onsite branding throughout the SailGP Race Stadium.
The deal adds to Emirates’ expansive partnership roster, which includes sponsorship of the Great Britain SailGP team, as well as the FA Cup, Real Madrid, AC Milan, and Arsenal.
“Emirates has a long-standing association with some of the world’s most-loved sporting clubs, tournaments, and events, and we are enormously proud to join the Emirates family,” said Sir Russell Coutts, CEO at SailGP.
“Emirates will be a key partner in helping SailGP reach new audiences through a shared passion for sporting excellence, and a commitment to innovation.”
“Our expanded relationship with SailGP is based on a shared commitment to bring the growing sport of sailing to a broader global audience on and off the waters,” added Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive at Emirates Airline & Group.
“SailGP is emerging as a pioneering force in sport, focusing on establishing connections with a new legion of loyal SailGP fans through impactful experiences.
“Emirates and SailGP also have a common vision and brand promise – to ‘sport better’ and ‘fly better,’ driven by excellence and innovation.”
