Southampton FC has signed a new partnership with local consumer electronics company, Veho, who replaces IT solutions firm Aap3 as the south coast club’s principal backer and shirt sponsor.

The brand has signed a two-year deal from 1st July, with Veho to launch a range of Saints-branded electronics and showcase its products at the club’s official store.

Saints’ outgoing main sponsor Aap3 has backed the club for the past three years, a period that has seen the team – who have three players named in the England World Cup squad – rise from the third-tier of English football to an eighth-placed finish in this year’s Barclays Premier League.

Gareth Rogers, Saints’ chief executive, said of the deal: ‘Southampton Football Club is ready to build upon the successes of recent years, and finding a partner who could match our ambition was our main priority.’

‘In Veho, we have a partner who will help us further our reputation for being at the forefront of sport science and innovation throughout every department – not just the football side.’

‘Being able to select a partner who is part of the local community here in Southampton and has a global reach allows us to continue our development at a fast pace.’

Though headquartered in Southampton, Veho has regional offices in Singapore, Dubai, New York and Hong Kong, with distribution in over 100 countries.

According to Veho founder Steve Lewis, the company’s board are all lifelong Saints supporters.
