Southampton Football Club has announced a seven-year partnership with global sports brand Under Armour.
Kicking off from 1st July for the 2016/17 season, the Baltimore-based company will design and develop matchday kits for the team, taking over from current suppliers, adidas.
Alongside kit development, Under Armour has will also provide sportswear for more than 5,000 children in the local community, as well as helping to develop the professional women’s and girls’ programmes, and supporting Southampton’s prolific academy.
Southampton chairman Ralph Krueger, said: “Under Armour shares similar values to us in that they achieve success through a combination of hard work and strategic thinking. Our challenge now is to retain our ‘underdog’ mentality whilst entering a sustained period of success.”

Southampton FC, currently seventh in the league, joins a growing portfolio of teams and individual sports stars, including fellow Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur, thoroughbred horse racing stable Godolphin, NBA MVP Stephen Curry, and golf’s world number two Jordan Spieth.
