Electronics giant Samsung has launched a nationwide competition allowing entrants to win a professional football contract.
Samsung is teaming up with Coca-Cola League One club Swindon Town to launch a search for an unknown footballer who will become a professional player with the club.
Players of all abilities can enter Samsung’s ‘Win A Pro Contract’ competition.
‘Win A Pro Contract’ hopefuls will have to take part in trials and matches and the winner will be offered a one-year professional playing contract with Swindon Town FC.
Regional trials are going to be held at Goals Soccer Centres throughout the UK, where players will be monitored by club scouts and expert talent spotters.
The best players at the trials go forward to take part in matches at three professional club grounds across the country.
The top 22 players then appear in the Samsung ‘Win A Pro Contract’ Final at Swindon Town’s County Ground towards the end of the year.
The winner will be selected by Swindon Town manager Danny Wilson, and invited to sign a professional playing contract and join the club in January 2011.
The winning player will also be given a boot deal by sports retailer JJB, and feature on the cover of FourFourTwo.
He will also become a Football Ambassador for Samsung and Goals Soccer Centres.
