The Saudi Pro League (SPL) has expanded its partnership with Stats Perform, as part of a plan to bolster fan and sponsorship engagement, and on-field analysis.
Under the agreement, the London-based data specialist will supply all SPL teams, as well as the league’s media and digital teams, with its suite of Opta-powered tools and performance insights.
Opta Vision will collate performance data from all SPL fixtures, as well as King’s Cup and Super Cup matches throughout the 2024/25 season, which will be distributed to clubs.
The generative AI-powered tool features complete player tracking, on-ball event, fitness data, and predictive metrics, helping teams monitor performance on the pitch.

Every SPL club will additionally have access to their own internal Opta Pro Hub software, which will allow them to manage daily scouting activity, including player reports and recruitment shortlists.
Stats Perform’s expansive stable of football partnerships includes England’s Premier League and EFL, Spain’s LaLiga, Italy’s Serie A, the Netherlands’ Eredivisie.
The company is also a partner of the FA, US Soccer, and French Champions PSG.
“Aided by strategic partnerships, including our collaboration with Stats Perform, we harness innovative data solutions like live Opta feeds and AI-powered Opta Vision data to enhance club performance analysis and scouting,” said Omar Mugharbel, CEO of the Saudi Pro League.
“This commitment to excellence drives our clubs’ competitive edge and enriches fans ensuring the SPL continues to set new standards with its partners in delivering unforgettable football experiences to a global audience.”
Stats Perform’s Chief Revenue Officer, Steve Xeller, added, “Our people, including our dedicated team in the region, will continue to work tirelessly to help ensure the SPL and its clubs continue to go from strength-to-strength, on the field and off it, for the benefit of their growing audience of millions of global fans.”
