Saxo Bank Commits To Cycling Team

Saxo Bank has confirmed that it will stick with its title sponsorship of the Saxo Bank cycling team despite the suspension of Tour De France winner Alberto Contador.??

Contador is currently suspended from competition due to a failed drug test earlier this month.??

Online trading and investment specialist Saxo Bank announced yesterday that it would keep to its 2011 sponsorship deal regardless of whether Contador’s suspension for failing a test during the 2010 Tour de France for clenbuterol is upheld or not.??

With authorities still looking into Contador’s clenbuterol positive test and the Spaniard’s future in the sport looking uncertain, as well as some other key members of the team leaving – the commitment from Saxo Bank comes as a huge boost to the team.
