Sbobet Signs Fifth Premier League Team
Southampton FC has become the fifth Barclays Premier League club to sign SBOBet as an official partner, joining the likes of Hull City, Norwich City, Swansea City and West Ham United.
The new deal, for which financial terms were not released, will see SBOBet become the Saint’s Asian betting partner.
Southampton’s commercial chief Dominic Fawcett said: ‘We look forward to working together, and also building our supporter base in the Asia region.’
Bill Mummery, SBOBet’s executive director, added: ‘The English Premier League is viewed in over two hundred countries worldwide with an estimated audience of five billion, so the exposure is enormous. We also look forward to working with the Saints Foundation.’
After an impressive first season back in the top-tier, Southampton kicked off their 2013/14 campaign with a 1-0 win against West Bromwich Albion last weekend, returning to St Mary’s Stadium on Saturday for the visit of Sunderland.
