Scalextric Extends Mercedes F1 Deal

Scalextric has confirmed that it will continue to sponsor the Mercedes GP Petronas Formula One Team, formerly Brawn GP.
Scalextric, owned by Hornby Hobbies Limited, has signed a deal that will run until the end of the 2011 season.
The contract entitles Scalextric to the image rights of Michael Schumacher, on his return to Formula One, as well as fellow team driver Nico Rosberg.
The slot racing brand also has a deal with Vodafone McLaren Mercedes allowing them to use the images of Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button.
A range of new Mercedes GP Petronas Scalextric products will launch during 2010, including the 1:64 scale Micro Scalextric GP Legends set and the 1:32 scale Race of Champions Scalextric Start set.
