Scottish Rugby received a double sponsorship boost after agreeing a new deal with car brand Ford and extending its relationship with retailer John Lewis.
Ford has signed a three-year deal to become official car supplier to the governing body in a contract worth a six-figure sum.
As part of the relationship Ford will provide Ranger, Mondeo, S-Max and Galaxy cars during the Emirates Airline 7s to be held at Murrayfield.
Having already agreed a deal earlier this year to sponsor a raft of grass-roots initiatives, John Lewis has extended its association with Scottish Rugby by becoming the body’s official formalwear supplier for the national team ahead of next month’s Rugby World Cup.
John Lewis will supply specially tailored suits and accessories for both players and management before the squad leave for the Rugby World Cup in France.
John Lewis joined forces with Scottish Rugby earlier this year as the official sponsors of the Youth League Cup and Scottish Schools 7s competition, to develop rugby in the community and provide more opportunities for young players.
John Lewis and Ford join Scottish Hydro Electric (sponsors of the community game); Baxters (official training partner); and Martin Currie (age-grade national teams, women’s rugby and the Pathway programme) as new sponsors Scottish Rugby has announced this calendar year.
