Scottish Rugby, the governing body for rugby union in Scotland, has extended its deal with Italian sportswear brand Macron for four years.
The agreement will cover all levels of the Scottish national team, including women’s, Sevens and age group sides as well as professional clubs Glasgow Warriors and Edinburgh Rugby.
Macron will also continue to operate the official online store, with orders processed by the nearly completed warehouse at BT Murrayfield, Scotland’s national rugby stadium.
The governing body’s partnership with the brand began in July 2013, with financial terms for the renewal not released, but a statement by Scottish Rugby said it was “a larger, consolidated deal.”
Gianluca Pavanello, chief executive, Macron, said: “We are truly honoured to be renewing our partnership with Scottish Rugby which will see Macron represented again at a Rugby World Cup, this time in Japan in 2019.
“We have also been very proud to be associated with the on field success of Scotland’s professional teams, most notably Glasgow Warriors winning the Guinness Pro12 and Edinburgh Rugby’s runs in European competition – we look forward to being an integral part of their continued success.”
