England Netball has announced the appointment of SecuTix as its new ticketing and engagement partner.

The agreement with the global SaaS ticketing and audience management provider follows a competitive tender process.

It comes as England Netball seeks to harness the commercial opportunities created by the Roses’ gold-medal win at the 2018 Commonwealth Games as well as next year’s Netball World Cup taking place in Liverpool.

SecuTix will be tasked with helping the governing body to grow netball’s fanbase and increase revenues from ticketing, with Sport England funding for the national team set to end next year.

Jo Sinclair, commercial director of England Netball, commented on the appointment, saying: “Now is the time for us to capitalise on the buzz around the team’s medal-winning success and the World Cup next year to sell out arenas. The SecuTix platform will help us take back control of our relationship with fans, really understand what they want at our events and importantly, reach out to potential new fans of the sport.”

David Hornby, SecuTix UK managing director, added: “England Netball is riding on the crest of a wave at present and we’re delighted with our appointment.  The SecuTix platform will help Jo and her team have a direct relationship with fans which is vital to the success of growing their audience.

“The flexibility of the technology will allow us to link up with new providers to improve the fan experience and ultimately attract more people into the arenas.”

England Netball is SecuTix’s first national governing body partner.

The partnership will get underway this week as tickets go on sale for England Netball’s 2019 Quad Series through the official England Netball Box Office, powered by SecuTix.

The Super 10 Grand Final and the Autumn Internationals will also be sold through England’s own direct ticketing platform.

Earlier this week England Netball announced that health and life insurance and investments provider Vitality has renewed its existing title partnership for a further three years.

As part of the agreement, Commonwealth Gold medalists England Roses have been renamed the ‘Vitality Roses’.
