Setanta Sports has appointed marketing agency Momentum to promote uptake of the
satellite broadcaster’s FA Premier League package which begins next season.
Momentum will run a series of below-the-line marketing campaigns including
experiential events aimed at raising brand awareness and increasing subscription
sales.
Setanta won two of the six FA Premier League live TV rights packages for the
next three-year contracts beginning 2007/08 season in a £386m deal – the first
time that Sky has been forced to surrender any of its exclusive live coverage.
Momentum will also be briefed to promote Setanta’s golf coverage after the
broadcaster won the rights to the PGA Tour for the next six years.
The agency was appointed without a pitch process.
