Australian broadcaster the Seven Network has secured an exclusive media rights deal with Commonwealth Sport.

The agreement makes Seven the official Australian broadcast partner for the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games and the 2030 edition, for which the host is yet to be confirmed.

The deal covers rights across broadcast, digital, connected TV, subscription services, radio, and social platforms within Australia.

The Glasgow 2026 Games will feature more than 3,000 athletes from up to 74 nations competing across 10 sports, including Para sport events.

Phil Batty OBE, Chief Executive, Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, said, “We are absolutely delighted to welcome Seven to Glasgow 2026 as the official Australian broadcast partner.

“As a longstanding partner of the Games, their commitment to 2026 and 2030 demonstrates the renewed importance of the Games globally to spectators and athletes.

The film, produced in collaboration with Formula 1, has been shot at multiple Grands Prix over the past year, including Silverstone, Hungaroring and Spa-Francorchamps.

The appearance at Goodwood was part of a wider activation by IWC Schaffhausen, which serves as the official watch partner of APXGP — the fictional team featured in the film.

The release is expected to coincide with increased mainstream interest in Formula 1, driven by global audience growth and high-profile entertainment crossovers.

The collaboration aims to increase viewership options and drive fan engagement in select international markets outside the US.

Through the integration of RecastPay onto NASCAR’s digital platforms, international fans will gain pay-as-you-go access to live race broadcasts and other content.

This move allows NASCAR to offer flexible viewing options, including pay-per-view (PPV) streams, directly to consumers in key overseas territories.
