Japanese automobile parts manufacturer and worldwide Olympic and Paralympic partner Bridgestone has unveiled five-time Olympic Games swimming medallist Adam Peaty and Olympic Games freestyle BMX gold medallist Charlotte Worthington as ambassadors.

The pair, signed by Bridgestone’s lead Olympic agency in Europe, London-based WeAreFearless, will take part in the latest Bridgestone campaign for Paris 2024, Prepared to Perform. The campaign will have the aim of honouring the ‘diligence and determination’ of athletes on their way to the Olympic and Paralympic Games, and was created by the WeAreFearless agency.

Peaty commented, “I am incredibly excited to be the new ambassador for Bridgestone UK. Being prepared to perform is everything.

“Making sure you are consistent, making sure you work hard, and making sure you take every opportunity to push yourself is key, because at the Olympic Games you cannot rely on luck, you make that performance every day with the hard working and training.”


The European Tour group has become the first professional golf Tour to announce its commitment towards net zero carbon emissions, by becoming a signatory to the United Nations Sports for Climate Action Framework, and the Framework’s Race to Zero pledge.

The Race to Zero pledge requires all signatories to commit to reduce direct emissions by 50% by 2030 and achieving net zero by 2040.

IMG’s inflight and in ship sports channel, Sport 24, has announced a deal with World Rugby to broadcast the Rugby World Cup 2021 and Rugby World Cup 2023.

The agreement will kick-off with the much-awaited Rugby World Cup 2021, hosted by defending champions New Zealand from 8th October to 12th November 2022, which will include 38 hours of live coverage.

The deal will also see Sport 24 broadcast 56 games of the Rugby World Cup 2023 which scheduled to take place in France from 8th September to 28th October 2023.

World Rugby Chief Executive Alan Gilpin, said, “We are delighted to have Sport 24 join the family of broadcasters for our men’s and women’s Rugby World Cups. Rugby World Cup 2021 will be a record-breaking celebration of the best of women’s rugby, starting with a 40,000-world record attendance for a women’s rugby match at Eden Park. The excitement will continue to grow and partnering with Sport 24 means that fans won’t miss a minute no matter where they are!”


UK-based sports marketing and athlete representation agency Ignite Sports has announced the signing of Scottish middle-distance runner Jake Wightman and two-time European, Commonwealth Games and national champion diver Andrea Spendolini-Sirieix.

Andrea Spendolini-Sirieix commented, “I am so happy to be joining the ISM family and working alongside Hugo and his team. ISM is full of incredible athletes that have such inspiring stories.

“It is truly an honour to be joining as I continue to progress in my diving journey whilst also exploring new ways to share my story and hopefully inspire the new generation to pursue their dreams, no matter how young or old they are.”
