The Goodwood Estate has been announced as the host venue for the inaugural race of the Air Race World Championship. Originally created and organised by energy drinks Red Bull in 2003, the re-imagined Air Race World Championship returns after a three-year hiatus under new management with new formats.

These include a team racing category, an academy programme coach and mentor new and upcoming talent and a jetpack racing series.

Commenting on the announcement, Nalin Jay, CEO of Air Race, said, “We are delighted to be hosting the inaugural race of the 2022 Air Race World Championship Series at Goodwood the historic home of British motorsport. Goodwood is an incredible venue for our first race in the re-launch of the Air Race series and we can’t wait to welcome fans of the AIR RACE back to the spectacle of live air racing.”


Everton has posted a loss of more than £100m for the third successive year. Figures released show a £120.9m deficit for the year ending June 2021 after another season hugely affected by the pandemic.

Everton’s losses over the last three years amount to £371.8m but will not be held in breach of Premier League profit and sustainability rules due to the extenuating circumstances associated with Covid.


Sport 24, the sports channel owned by UK-based IMG, has secured a partnership with ReachTV, a major airport television network in the US. The deal will see Sport 24 broadcast across inflight and in-ship screens, as well as ReachTV’s 2500+ owned and operated screens throughout airports across North America.

Sport 24 currently broadcasts live action from major sporting events and leagues including NFL, NBA, NHL, the Premier League, the golf majors and the tennis grand slams. The channels are currently shown on several international airlines including JetBlue, Etihad, Emirates, Turkish Airlines and Singapore Airlines.


With 100 days to go until the UEFA Women’s Euros kick off, M&C Saatchi Sport and Entertainment and UEFA have unveiled 9ft tall female table football players on London’s iconic Carnaby Street.

The installation, that will remain in place until 10th April, celebrates what is set to be a massive year for women’s football. Rio Ferdinand, Fara Williams, and Millie Bright were just a few of the women’s football fans who were also on Carnaby Street supporting the launch.


Branded merchandise and apparel firm, Infinity Inc, has teamed up with Brentford FC to help raise money for the Disasters Emergency Committee Ukraine Appeal. The in-house design team at Infinity Inc. created a limited-edition t-shirt featuring the bee from Brentford FC’s club crest in the colours of the Ukrainian flag. 

CEO and founder of Infinity Inc., Darren Cohen, said, “We’ve been working with Brentford FC for two years and we’ve already done so much work with them, so it’s great to partner up on another project, especially when it’s raising money for such an important cause.”
