British gambling brand Betfair has agreed a main shirt sponsorship deal with Brazilian football club Vasco de Gama.

The agreement will run until December 2025, and is reportedly worth R$115m (£17.79m) over its duration.

Rio de Janeiro-based Vasco’s new Betfair-branded kits were first on display during the team’s Serie A game against Vitoria on Sunday 12th May.

Accrington Stanley FC has extended its partnership with HML Recycling, which includes sponsorship of the Jack Barrett Main Stand at the team’s Wham Stadium home.

As per the renewal, HML will now take over Accrington’s private dining venue situated within the club’s VIP lounge.

Since 2018, when the deal first began, the recycling firm has supported the League Two outfit’s annual Funfair and Fireworks night, as well as its shirt giveaway and food bank donations.

Stuart Rogan, Director of HML Recycling said, “We have thoroughly enjoyed our six years as sponsors of the Jack Barrett Main Stand and we are looking forward to the next season.

“Accrington Stanley is a real community club and we are proud to have been involved in so many amazing initiatives and long may it continue.”

The NFL’s New York Jets will host the first ever flag football fixture between the UK Armed Forces (UKAF) and the US Visiting Forces (USFS).

The game will take place at Royal Air Force Lakenheath in Suffolk on 17th May, and will form a part of the Jets’ annual Salute to Service campaign.

This marks the Jets’ latest move within the UK since acquiring marketing rights across the country in 2021 via the NFL’s Global Markets programme.
