UK sport for social change organisation Beyond Sport has hosted its third annual Beyond Innovation event with the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation.

The event brought together hundreds of the world’s sporting leaders to collaborate on leveraging the universal power of sport to help inspire young people’s interest in STEM education. With a focus on helping achieve targeted UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs or Global Goals) by 2030, the event was headlined by speakers from the TGR Foundation – A Tiger Woods Charity, the MLB and San Francisco 49ers. Aberdeen have confirmed Dave Cormack as the club’s new chairman, taking over from Stewart Milne who announced that he would be stepping down after more than 20 years in the role.

The club has also announced a strategic partnership with MLS side Atlanta United. As part of the deal, AMB Sports & Entertainment – Atlanta United’s parent company – will own a minority stake in Aberdeen and will invest £2m, which will form part of a £5m investment into the club as part of Cormack’s appointment.


BT has allowed customers to pay for Amazon Prime on the same bill as their BT TV, with access to the online retail giant’s content available on its set-top boxes.

The news means that the first Premier League fixtures to be screened on Prime Video will be available to BT customers, while new or upgrading customers will also be able to access Prime content free for six months.


The MCC has partnered with SeatGeek in a multi year partnership which sees the ticket platform become the official ticketing partner of Lord’s Cricket Ground.

The ticket platform already has partnerships in sport – including with multiple Premier League EFL, and NFL clubs – but this latest deal will mark its first entry into cricket.


Global services company Sodexo – who provide pint cups at Everton’s Goodison Park – has announced that all plastic cups at the venue are now reusable.

The company says the new reusable plastic cups will save an estimated 75,000 single-use plastics from being served at the ground, while designated recycling points have been installed on the concourse where supporters can place their used cups, which can then be washed and reused. The cups can be reused up to 100 times.


Galvin Green has introduced a new collection of golf clothing made from fabric left over from production of its core range.

The UpCycle range will feature a small number of men’s and women’s clothes which will reduce waste. The range will only be available until the company’s stocks last.
