The Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games has named strength and conditioning equipment brand Eleiko as its official weightlifting and para powerlifting sports equipment supplier for the Games, which are being held from 28th July to 8th August.
Eleiko will supply the full range of equipment for the weightlifting and para powerlifting competition, as well as provide logistics support for the installation and event tear down and supervision during the event.

English Football League (EFL) Championship club Burnley FC has partnered with Vertu Motors as the club’s official car retailer for the 2022/23 season.
The Vertu Motors logo will appear on the back of the club’s three shirts for the duration of the season, and the partnership will also see branding appear around Burnley’s 22,000-capacity stadium Turf Moor, including across various pitch-side advertising. Matchday sponsorship and player appearances are also included, in addition to various hospitality opportunities.

Premier League football club Nottingham Forest has appointed Jamie King as its new Head of Marketing after he left his role as Director of Social and Digital Content at the National Football League (NFL).

Aviva has appointed Tom Whiteside as its new Group Sponsorship Lead after he left his role as UK Sponsorship Lead at Toyota GB, in which he worked across the Olympic and Paralympic Games for four and a half years.

Through Xero’s support, the club will highlight the importance of financial sustainability and the vital role it plays in achieving an equitable playing field.
Lewes FC, the football club that pays both its men’s and women’s teams the same, is looking to push on with interest in women’s football is at an all-time high.
Xero explains that its three-year deal is built on a belief that “strong financial management has a direct impact on a club’s ability to fuel the pipeline for talent and increase recruitment from school age groups.”
