Championship football club Blackburn Rover has announced Hytro as its official Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) training partner to improve players’ performance.
The deal will see Hytro provide unique BFR technology to the men’s first team, in an effort to support the club and help its players improve their strength, recovery and endurance training. Teams such as Leeds Rhinos, St Helens, and the Alpine Academy, as well as individuals such as Sam Tomkins, Chris Billam-Smith, Josh Charnley, Adam Hastings and Dan Norton already use the technology.

The Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) and Nottingham City Council have successfully completed an agreement for the LTA to take over the long-term lease and management of Nottingham Tennis Centre. Significant plans for investment into the centre has also been revealed.
The LTA will take on a 150-year lease and the operation of the site from 1st May. The centre will remain open to the public and community activity will continue to be a core part of its operations. As part of its immediate transformation there will be a re-surfacing to the outdoor hard courts, upgrading of outdoor floodlights, new fencing installed and an upgrade of the existing air bubble covering three courts.
The Professional Triathletes Organisation (PTO) has renewed its partnership with the UK-based sports video production and distribution agency Story10 with the intention to increase international exposure and awareness of PTO’s key events and campaigns throughout 2022.
The partnership will see Story10 crews on the ground at all events producing secondary content and feature stories around non-event initiatives, including inclusion and equality. This will extend PTO’s news lifecycle, generating exposure and awareness.

British Universities & College Sports (BUCS) has announced a new partnership with BT, which will see the global telecommunications company headline the Outdoor Athletics Championships.
The three-day event held in Chelmsford at the end of April will bring together over 1,500 students from universities across the UK to compete at the highest level in both track and field events. The backing from BT will help BUCS continue to raise the profile of the important pathway the event creates for elite athletes
Great Britain Rugby League legend Jamie Peacock MBE has run a unique 100-mile ultramarathon around London to fundraise for Greenhouse Sports. Greenhouse Sports deliver intensive sports coaching and mentoring to help develop the Social, Thinking, Emotional and Physical (STEP) abilities of young people from disadvantaged communities. He undertook the challenge with Simon Dent, a keen endurance runner and founder of HERO talent agency and sports marketing agency Dark Horses.
Jamie and Simon along with friends Sam Rents and Chris Williams, made a 100-mile double loop around London, which began and ended at the Greenhouse Centre and checked in at a number of the 40 schools in the capital that Greenhouse Coaches support.
