Blackpool FC has confirmed that Blackpool Tourism Ltd will be the club’s principal sponsor for the away shirt during the 2025/26 season.

The shirt sponsorship is part of a wider effort to highlight local attractions and encourage visiting supporters to extend their stays in the town.

The deal is expected to bring increased visibility to Blackpool through national media coverage and televised matches, supporting the town’s tourism goals while strengthening ties between the club and its local community.

Kate Shane, Managing Director of Blackpool Tourism Ltd, described the sponsorship as a chance to showcase Blackpool’s offer to a national audience. Martin Booker, Head of Sponsorship and Partnerships at Blackpool FC, said the partnership would build on a relationship with the council that has been in place since 2019.

England cricket star Brydon Carse has signed a brand ambassador deal with pioneering underwear brand Step One.

The new signing joins the ranks of other partners including Henry Pollock, Joe Marler, Tony Bellew and Ugo Monye, who favour Step One underwear for the brand’s commitment to innovation, sustainability and performance. Carse, known for his speed on the international stage, is a natural fit for Step One, which focuses on performance.

England and Durham player and Step One ambassador, Brydon Carse, said “As a fast bowler, comfort and recovery are key, and Step One has genuinely changed the game for me. No chafing, no distractions – just a perfect fit that keeps me cool and confident on and off the field. It’s a bit like finding the middle of the bat, but for your boxers.”

Colchester United have confirmed a new three-year partnership with The MEL Group, which will become the club’s Front of Shirt sponsor from the 2025/26 season.

The MEL Group’s branding will feature on the home kit, while its newly launched international brand, MEL Aviation FZCO, will appear on the away shirt.

The agreement marks a significant commercial step for Colchester United, strengthening the club’s profile both locally and internationally.

General Manager Tim Waddington said the partnership aligns with the club’s ambitions on and off the pitch and praised The MEL Group’s community ties and commitment to the sport.

The partnership has stemmed from local connections, with PJB Electrical based in Manor Royal and its director, Jamie Blackman, having long-standing personal ties to the club.

Crawley Town’s Head of Partnerships, James Ball, said the new branding adds visual impact to the stadium and praised the ambition of the new partner.

The sponsorship reinforces Crawley Town’s commitment to strengthening local business ties and engaging with its community, while giving PJB Electrical a visible platform within the club’s matchday environment.
