UK-based sports commercial partnerships and recruitment specialists Sporting Group International has been appointed by English Football League (EFL) One football club Bolton Wanderers FC to deliver a naming rights agreement for its 29,000-capacity home stadium.

As the deal with the club’s current partner, the University of Bolton, is coming to an end, Sporting Group International is leading the search for a new partner for the venue, which has been home to the club since 1997.

Adrian Wright, Chief Executive of Sporting Group International, said, “The University of Bolton Stadium is firmly established as one of the finest UK football venues outside of the Premier League and its facilities and location make it such a popular venue for high profile concerts, corporate meetings and events.

“Our team at Sporting Group International is very excited to start working on this project and we look forward to collaborating with chief executive Neil Hart and his team at Bolton Wanderers to bring a new brand to the stadium.”

Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL) football club Glasgow Rangers FC has partnered with Scottish golf resort Dundonald Links.

Under terms of the agreement, Dundonald Links will host the Rangers Annual Golf Day on Monday 10th October 2022, with a number of rangers players taking part in the competition.

The partnership will also see Dundonald Links branding at Ibrox during match days as well as a number of other key activations.

Rangers’ Commercial and Marketing Director, James Bisgrove, commented, “At Rangers, we strive to associate ourselves with best in class and liked minded partners, and with the incredible course and new facilities at Dundonald, we believe the partnership fulfils this ambition.”

The Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) has appointed former Volvo, Nissan and DaimlerChrysler executive Natalie Robyn as its first CEO.

Robyn will join motorsport’s governing body in the ‘near future’ and overlook the FIA’s financial performance as the FIA looks to ‘increase and diversify’ their revenue streams in the future.

Robyn said, “I am delighted to be appointed the first ever CEO of the FIA at such an important and exciting time for the Federation. I look forward to working with members, the senior leadership team and the President to deliver their vision of reform and growth with the involvement of all staff.”
