Reading Football Club extend its current kit deal with Macron

As part of the partnership, Macron will continue to supply the club’s home, away and goalkeeper kits as well as training range and technical items.

According to a statement, the League One club and Macron are committed to the sustainability statements of recent years – committing to the use of Macron Eco fabrics over the course of this agreement. Macron’s Eco Fabric is derived entirely from recycled plastic and played a crucial role in the club’s recent #ShowYourStripes campaign alongside the University of Reading.

Tim Kilpatrick, Head of Commercial at Reading FC, said, “Our partnership with Macron has been a huge success to date, therefore we are delighted to sign a new long-term agreement.

“Through Macron’s custom and creative approach, we have been able to create high quality, inspiring product ranges which not only deliver the best possible sportswear for our playing staff and coaches, but also inspire emotion, behaviours and hopefully pride. This has been showcased via our 2021-22 anniversary kits, our 2022-23 climate stripes design and our recent 2023-24 range which pays homage to our town and our community. We are thankful for Macron’s close collaboration and look forward to working together for years to come.”

Professional rugby League club Bradford Bulls confirms trio of sponsorship deals for the 2024 season

Earlier this month, the Bulls entered into a new partnership with 1st Safari Day Nurseries. Additionally, Bradford Bulls announced its renewed partnership with Natalie Lane on behalf of the Homeless Not Hopeless charity and extended its sponsorship with MCP Environmental.

All three sponsorship deals will be featured on the club’s first team kit next season.

Ian Stafford, Commercial Manager at Bradford Bulls said, “Having worked with Homeless Not Hopeless last Christmas, donating gift packages to those in need, and as part of the Big Bradford Bulls Sleep Out in January, it has been incredibly humbling to see the great work they do supporting the local community.

“I look forward to working with Natalie to develop this partnership further and use our scale for good in the community.”

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has approved the inclusion of squash, lacrosse, baseball, flag football and the return of cricket for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.

Cricket has only once previously appeared at the Olympics – at the Paris games back in 1900, when Great Britain beat France in the final. This time there is expected to be both a T20 men’s and women’s tournament at the LA Games.

Thomas Bach, President of the IOC, explained the incorporation of Cricket to be ‘’the opportunity to grow beyond its traditional countries”.

“And for the Olympic movement it’s the opportunity to engage with a fan and athlete community to which we have had very little, or even no, access,”

Mithali Raj, Former Captain of the India women’s team, said the decision will help cricket grow beyond its established regions.

“It is so exciting that cricket is now an Olympic sport and will make its return at LA28,”

“Players will get the chance to compete for an Olympic gold medal and be part of the games which will be so special. It’s also a chance for more fans around the world to enjoy our fantastic sport.”
