Plans have been revealed for Wheldon Road, the home of Super League club Castleford Tigers, to undergo a revamp that could cost as much as £10m.

Castleford’s Chief Executive, Mark Grattan, said that the club now favours the redevelopment of its existing home, commonly known as ‘the Jungle’, rather than pursuing the construction of a new stadium on the outskirts of the West Yorkshire town.


ASICS has invited individuals to apply to join the footwear and sportswear manufacturer’s ambassador programme.

Founded in 2010, the FrontRunner community has become a global movement with over 600 members representing all running abilities in 27 countries. ASICS is looking to recruit over 120 new members this year.


UK commercial broadcaster Channel 4 has announced that its entire presenting team for the upcoming Beijing 2022 Paralympic Winter Games will comprise individuals with disabilities – a first for a broadcaster in global sport.

ParalympicsGB champions Lauren Steadman and Ellie Robinson will join an on-screen presenting team led by Ade Adepitan, Ed Jackson, Arthur Williams, Billy Monger and Sean Rose for more than 80 hours of coverage during the Games.


UK pay-television broadcaster Sky Sports has extended its partnership with the Women’s Sport Collective, the networking group that drives positive change for women in sport.

Following an initial collaboration last year, the continued relationship and undisclosed investment from Sky Sports will ensure the Women’s Sport Collective remains free to all members.
