Club Wembley, the exclusive membership programme for London’s iconic 90,000-capacity Wembley Stadium, has appointed Paul Scannell as the new Head of Club Wembley & Hospitality.
In the new role, Scannell will oversee the full spectrum of the membership and its operations.
Previously Head of Hospitality for The Football Association and Wembley Stadium, Paul has also held senior management roles with the Singapore Sports Hub and Gordon Ramsay Restaurants. He has long-standing ties to the venue, starting his hospitality career working in the old Wembley Stadium and Wembley Arena whilst at university.
Scannell commented, “Having been part of the Wembley family for several years, I know that no two events are the same and we’ve witnessed some exceptional events already this summer including the UEFA Women’s Euro Final, Ed Sheeran, and Coldplay. I’m moving into the role at a very exciting time.
“Wembley Stadium is an iconic venue for sport and music, and the Club Wembley team continues to evolve how we ensure that we deliver an incredible experience for members at each event.”
The British Basketball League (BBL) has announced the appointment of Joe Edwards as the league’s new Head of Marketing & Communications.
Edwards joins the BBL having previously held similar roles at the Reading Rockets and the international Basketball Federation (FIBA).
Edwards said, “Basketball has been a huge part of my life and I’m incredibly excited to bring my personal and professional interests together and am delighted to be joining the BBL as Head of Marketing and Communications at an amazing time for the league.”
Fifty Digital, a UK creative and social agency that specialises in sponsorship and sport, has been announced as the growth marketing agency for free sports streaming service SportsTribal.
According to a statement, Fifty Digital’s focus will be on driving awareness and viewership to the SportsTribal TV platform.

Spartan UK and Tough Mudder UK have announced CBD brand CBDfx as an official partner for the remainder of the 2022 UK season.
The partnership will see the introduction of CBDfx Recovery Zones for the upcoming Spartan race on 8t and 9th October as well as Tough Mudder’s South London event on 24th and 25th September

Carlisle United has announced an extension to its partnership with Armstrong Watson.
Under terms of the agreement, the financial services firm will continue to sponsor the Warwick Road End Stand at the club’s 17,949-capacity Brunton Park stadium.
