UK head-quartered global sports entertainment company DAZN Group, has announced the renewal of its exclusive Japan, Germany, Austria and Switzerland rights agreements to the UEFA Nations League, the European Qualifiers for the European and World Cup, “Finalissima” 2022, and various UEFA friendly matches. Agreements have been renewed for six seasons (Japan) and four seasons (Germany, Switzerland and Austria),
Subscribers will be able to enjoy the UEFA Nations League: Matchdays 1 to 4, in June, live on DAZN, including teams such as Spain, Italy, England and Portugal. This is in addition to much-awaited games such as Spain against Portugal or England against Italy .
Sport England has announced it is investing a further £360 million of National Lottery and government funding into 78 more partners to help everyone in England get active and tackle long-standing inequalities within access to sport and physical activity. The funding comes on the back of the £193m investment in 43 partners announced in March, and brings its total backing to more than £550m in 121 partners.
The new investment model will see organisations receive funding for up to five years, in order to provide longer-term financial security that allows organisations to recover and reinvent from the impact of the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.
