The National Football League’s (NFL) San Francisco 49ers has announced an agreement with UK-based sports radio station talkSPORT to broadcast 11 or more regular season 49ers games and additional 49ers programming on talkSPORT2 all season long.
The 49ers deal with NewsUK-owned talkSPORT kicked off in pre-season and will now ramp up for the regular season kick-off.
Alex Chang, 49ers Chief Marketing Officer, said, “Finding a UK-based sports radio broadcast partner with national reach was imperative for us and that’s why talkSPORT was our top target in the market,”
“Along with a solid listenership for our compelling 49ers content, talkSPORT also has a large social fanbase that allows us to reach more sports fans throughout the country.”
Gallagher Premiership rugby union club Leicester Tigers has announced the renewal of its longstanding partnership with mouthguard suppliers OPRO ahead of the new season.
The latest agreement ensures OPRO’s custom-made mouthguards will continue to be provided for all Tigers players.

English Football League (EFL) Championship football club Luton Town FC has announced that UK-based powered access equipment providers Star Platforms has renewed its sponsorship with the club for a fifth consecutive season.
The Hatters will once again have the Star Platforms logo on the away shirt this season, as has been the case since the team’s promotion from League One in 2019.
Steve Simmons, joint Managing Director at Star Platforms, commented, “When we signed the first sponsorship deal with Luton Town FC, they were in the fourth tier of English football, and Star Platforms had just one depot in Luton.
“Since then, both LTFC and Star Platforms have improved their positions incredibly, with Luton Town now being on the cusp of the biggest league in the world and Star Platforms running a national business with seven depots, employing more than 150 people.”
English Football League (EFL) Championship club Blackpool FC has announced meal delivery service Fuel Hub as a new official supplier to the first team for the 2022/23 season.
