England Netball has appointed of Baroness Sue Campbell as its new Chair of the Board, with her tenure beginning in January 2025.
Baroness Campbell, a former England Under-21 netball player, brings an illustrious career in British sport to the role. She started as a PE teacher at Loughborough University before becoming Chief Executive of the Youth Sport Trust in 1995 and Chair of UK Sport in 2003, where she led Team GB.
For the past eight years, she has served as Director of Women’s Football at The FA, playing a key role in the success of the Lionesses, grassroots growth, and the professionalisation of the Women’s Super League.
Baroness Campbell steps into her role as England Netball continues to strengthen. The Vitality Roses are now ranked second in the world, and the domestic Netball Super League is advancing on its journey towards professionalisation.
Baroness Sue Campbell commented, “It’s an enormous privilege to join England Netball at such an exciting time. In many ways it feels like I’m coming home having played, umpired and coached netball for more than 25 years at school, college, club and national level.
“As well as providing me with some of the most memorable moments of my playing career, it gave me lifelong friendships and a female friendly supportive community so it’s wonderful for me to be back where it all started”
Bromley Football Club have confirmed that Anthony Serafino, a U.S businessman, has acquired a minority shareholding in the club.
Serafino currently serves as President of Exp. Group LLC, a multinational business headquartered in New Jersey.
This investment has been made through the purchase of shares from the Club’s Owner and Chairman, Robin Stanton-Gleaves, and Vice-Chairman, Jon Plassard. The funds raised through the transaction will directly support the development of the Club’s new East Stand.

Serafino is expected to attend his first Bromley match at Hayes Lane when the team takes on Port Vale on 14th December 2024.

Leicestershire CCC has extended its partnership with Blue Bear Transport for the 2025 season.
Blue Bear, who first got onboard as a sponsor of Leicestershire CCC during 2022, have also committed further support to Foxes star Ben Cox as the wicketkeeper-batter’s official player sponsor again next summer.

Formula E has appointed Max Adkins as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective 13th January 2025.
Adkins brings over a decade of financial expertise, including his recent role as CFO at Virgin Media Ireland and prior experience with Liberty Global, where he held senior positions in corporate finance and investor relations.
Earlier this year, Liberty Global, where Adkins previously served, increased its stake in Formula E to become the majority shareholder with 65% ownership.
Max Adkins said, “I am thrilled to start at Formula E and continue to build my career within the Liberty Global family. Watching from afar it has been a series I have known and admired for a while, so am delighted to join as it continues to make waves in global sport.”
