The governing body European Rugby Champions Cup and the European Rugby Challenge Cup, European Professional Club Rugby (EPCR), has appointed creative, digital and social agency Fifty Digital to launch and manage its new TikTok account.
According to a statement, the London-based agency will responsible for a six-month launch and growth strategy and will produce ‘content that utilises the platform’s bespoke functionality to connect with a new, younger audience in both rugby and sport in general.’
“We are really pleased to partner with Fifty Digital for our next chapter, evolving our approach to reach and engage rugby audiences around the world,” said EPCR Digital Lead, Stuart Winship.
Viaplay, the streaming platform owned by Nordic Entertainment Group (NENT), has acquired the streaming rights to the heavyweight boxing title fight between Tyson Fury and Dillian Whyte in 10 European countries.
Fury vs Whyte will be included in a regular Viaplay subscription in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and the Netherlands, and will be available as a pay-per-view event in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland and Iceland.
Brighton & Hove Albion have reported losses of £53.4million for the 2020/21 season after filing their annual accounts. The club’s finances were heavy affected by the inability to fill the stadium during the pandemic.
The Seagulls have announced their turnover for last term was up by 13.4% to £151.6m, against £132.9m in 2019/20 and that their losses from that campaign fell £13.8m in comparison to last season. These figures do not include the £50m transfer of Ben White to Arsenal, which was completed after June 30, 2021 – an end date for these accounts.
London-based talent identification platform AiSCOUT, has today announced the continuation of its relationship with Burnley F.C. The platform uses artificial intelligence to identify the next generation of professional footballers.

Special Olympics GB has announced a new official partnership with Premium digital out of home (DOOH) media owner Ocean Outdoor. Under the agreement, Ocean Outdoor becomes the only UK media owner to have long term partnerships with all three organisations recognised by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
In the coming months, highlights, clips and brand related content featuring these events will appear on Ocean’s large format digital screens across 15 UK cities, celebrating individual athletes in the cities and regions where they live, and working with relevant Local Authority partners and other bodies to increase the visibility of people with intellectual disabilities.
Sky Deutschland, the German pay-TV broadcaster, has secured rights to the Women’s Super League (WSL), the top-tier women’s soccer competition in England, through a multi-year deal.
The agreement, according to reports, covers linear TV, IPTV, mobile, and online rights in Germany, as well as in Austria and Switzerland. The deal adds to Sky Deutschland’s existing coverage of English soccer. The pay-TV network already holds rights to the men’s Premier League, with that deal running to May 2025.
