Hannah Forshaw has been appointed CEO of Everton Women and will take up her new position for the 2025/26 Barclays WSL season.

Forshaw, currently the Chief Operating Officer of The Jockey Club, is a Chartered Accountant with a Masters degree in Business Administration from the Liverpool Business School.

A Women in Football Committee member during her time as Vice President of Operations at Liverpool FC, Forshaw joined The Jockey Club in 2023 as Group Operations Director, after more than 12 years at Anfield. She became The Jockey Club’s COO in 2024.

Everton announced earlier this month that, following the move to Hill Dickinson Stadium by the senior men’s side, Goodison Park will become the permanent home for the senior women’s team – a move described as “a landmark moment for the women’s game” by Nikki Doucet, the Chair of WSL Football.

Angus Kinnear, Everton CEO, said, “Hannah is an outstanding leader and the perfect person to guide Everton Women into an exciting new era, as Goodison Park becomes the largest dedicated women’s football stadium in the world.

She brings with her a wealth of experience in driving growth and delivering notable change across football and in the world of racing. Those credentials will be crucial as the custodian of Goodison’s legacy, and in delivering the bold vision for our new home. Her skillset is exactly what is needed to ensure our ambitions can be fulfilled on and off the pitch, and we all look forward to her arrival.”

Newbury Racecourse has announced a new partnership with Visit Malta, the official tourist board for Malta, Gozo and Comino.

The agreement has seen Visit Malta become the title partner of the Racecourse’s Hungerford Day with Clean Bandit on Saturday 16th August.

The feature race of the day, the Group 2 seven-furlong contest worth £150,000, will be run as the Visit Malta Hungerford Stakes. Clean Bandit is set to perform live after racing.

This new partnership marks Visit Malta’s inaugural partnership in British racing and complements their existing relationships with Manchester United and Team Polti, as the tourism authority has bolstered its sporting portfolio.

To celebrate its new association with Newbury Racecourse, Visit Malta is offering one race-goer in attendance at Visit Malta Hungerford Day with Clean Bandit on 16th August the opportunity to win a holiday to Malta, complete with flights and accommodation.

Those in attendance on the day will need to utilise the Racecourse’s free Wi-Fi during their visit for a chance to win, with the winner announced before Clean Bandit takes to the stage after racing.

Shaun Hinds, Chief Executive Officer, Newbury Racecourse, said, “We’re excited to celebrate the very best of Maltese culture and are thrilled Visit Malta’s generosity will see one of our racegoers win a luxury holiday – all while enjoying one of the most popular racedays in our calendar.’’

The Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) has announced a partnership with FAGE, who has become the official yoghurt partner of British tennis.

The partnership includes FAGE being the official yoghurt partner for the LTA’s major events, including the Lexus Birmingham Open, Lexus Nottingham Open, HSBC Championships, and the Lexus Eastbourne Open.

FAGE has also become a lead partner of the LTA Youth programme, the LTA’s pathway aimed at increasing children’s participation in tennis.

Additionally, FAGE is now an official supporter of LTA Women and Girls, and a supporter of the LTA’s She Rallies programme, initiatives focused on driving female participation in the sport.

To mark the start of the partnership, FAGE is offering grassroots tennis venues the opportunity to attend the 2025 HSBC Championships. A FAGE yoghurt station will also be present at the HSBC Championships, allowing spectators to sample the product.

This partnership follows FAGE’s previous involvement in tennis, having been the official yoghurt provider for the US Open in 2024.

Chris Pollard, Managing Director of Commercial and Operations at the LTA, said, “FAGE’s commitment to promoting a healthy lifestyle makes them the perfect partner to support our LTA Youth and Women & Girls programmes.

We’re delighted to welcome them as the LTA’s Official Yoghurt Partner and look forward to working together to continue to grow kids’ tennis in Britain and get more women and girls playing the sport more often.”
