Extreme E has announced the promotion of Ali Russell from Chief Marketing Officer to Managing Director.

As Chief Marketing Officer, Russell been with the electric SUV off-road racing series since its inception in 2018.

In his new role as Managing Director, his broader responsibilities have been described as ‘overseeing all aspects of the series’ structure, including commercial, operations and race logistics, and stakeholder management.’

Ali Russell, commented, “I am incredibly honoured and excited to take on the position of Managing Director at Extreme E. The championship has already made significant strides in raising awareness about climate change, gender equality and diversity, and the need for sustainable practices in motorsport while providing exciting and engaging racing for our fans.

“I look forward to working closely with our partners, stakeholders, and the entire Extreme E team to build on these achievements and drive the championship to new heights.”


English Football League (EFL) Two club Newport County AFC has renewed its official club partnership with New Clad.

The roofing supply company will continue to display its branding around Rodney Parade for the 2023/24 season.

Matthew Owen, Commercial Manager at Newport County, said, “We are delighted to continue our partnership with New Clad. Their continued support has been invaluable to our success, and we look forward to working with them on future initiatives.”

The British Speedway’s Premiership has secured a new title partnership with Sports Insure.

The deal will see the league become the Sports Insure Premiership with immediate effect, haaed of the 2023 season.

The latest season, which begins on 22nd May, is set to gain more exposure than ever with as live television coverage on Eurosport and discovery+

Scottish Premier Football League (SPFL) club Celtic FC has sealed a three-year partnership extension Intelligent Car Leasing (ICL).

The organisation, which has been Celtic’s official vehicle leasing partner since 2014, will continue to provide the club’s vehicle fleet to the men’s first and, for the first time, the women’s team too.

Goodwood has announced yacht brokerage Edmiston as a new sponsor of the Goodwood Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard and Goodwood Revival.

The deal will see Edmiston’s benefit from brand exposure across the estate during the two motorsport events, and through the creation of a helicopter airbridge from The Edmiston London Heliport to Goodwood’s Heliport, which will transport guests to the track in 20 minutes.
