American car manufacturer Ford could be set for a Formula 1 return in 2026, after being linked to UK-based team Oracle Red Bull Racing’s engine plans.
The car giant was last involved in F1 with Jaguar from 2000 to 2004, but sold its operation to Red Bull Racing once it decided to leave the sport.
After the growth of the sport in US, Ford are reportedly interested in a return. Although it will not look to get involved in funding a full works team or producing its own power unit, sources suggest that one avenue being explored is a tie-up with the Red Bull team.
UK-based sports media company Sunset+Vine has appointed Raj Mannick as its new Head of Digital.
