Formula E has announced the relocation of its global logistics headquarters from Donington Park in England to the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia, Spain.

The move has been described by Formula E as a ‘strategic relocation is coupled with an ambitious expansion of the circuit’ and ‘a strategic advancement in logistics efficiency and sustainability for Formula E.’

The new location will also become the series’ permanent test track and development centre, with dedicated test sessions and offices.

Alberto Longo, Co-Founder and Chief Championship Officer, Formula E, said, “This move to the Ricardo Tormo Circuit is an important step for the championship in maintaining the most sustainable freight routes possible while using it as a base for developing future generations of our race cars.

“Having a permanent centre at the circuit in Valencia will feel to me and many at Formula E like home, while keeping us at the cutting edge of EV technology as well as showcasing our unique sport to guests and future partners of the championship.”


IMG has appointed James Clement as Senior Vice President, Tech & Operations for its studios business.

In the role, Clement will oversee the operations of IMG’s studio facilities in Stockley Park, London, including the broadcast operations, engineering and technical services.

He will also be responsible for delivering the business’ production services to partners, including Premier League Productions, Euroleague, DP World Tour, EFL and MLS, who’s broadcast operations are based at IMG’s studios, as well as growing IMG’s international production presence.

Clement joins IMG from Sky where he most recently served as Director of Operations for Sky Sports.

Clement, commented, “I’ve long admired IMG and have worked in partnership with its extremely talented teams since I joined the industry, and genuinely believe it is uniquely positioned to provide outstanding content to clients and partners across the sporting world. Our industry is under constant change, and I’m looking forward to bringing my commercial and operational experience along with a passion for sustainability and equity to this role.” 


The Premier League has launched its ‘More Than A Game’ campaign to showcase how its ‘wide-ranging investment into all levels of football enables people connected to clubs to have a positive impact on their local communities.’

As part of the campaign, clubs across the Premier League, EFL and National League will name a Community Captain. This is somebody at the ‘heart of their Premier League-funded programmes who deserves recognition for their commitment and contribution to the game and society.’

The ‘More Than A Game’ campaign – which will be visible at all Premier League matches between 17th and 26th February – will showcase how the Premier League’s investment and work of the Community Captains.

Premier League Chief Executive Richard Masters, said, “One of the great strengths of football is its ability to have a positive impact on people of all ages and backgrounds – from fans watching in the stands to the millions playing grassroots football, and all those involved in community programmes run by clubs.

“Thanks to the success of Premier League football, we are able to continue providing unparalleled investment to all levels of the game. This enables clubs to deliver life-changing community programmes week in, week out, in every part of the country.

“During this campaign, we will be celebrating Community Captains connected to clubs across the football pyramid. They are the unsung heroes and people who go above and beyond the call of duty to benefit the lives of others, demonstrating that football is so much more than a game.”


Motherwell FC has announced a new partnership with football business provider Off the Pitch.

According to a statement, the new agreement, which sees Off the Pitch become the Scottish Premiership side’s official football finance data partner, will empower the club ‘with cutting-edge analytics tools and invaluable financial insights’.

Motherwell Head of Recruitment, Nick Daws, said, “As we strive to keep pushing the club to new heights, we need access to the best data available.
