London-headquartered data, technology and broadcast company Genius Sports has been selected as the exclusive official data partner of the Isuzu UTE A-League Men and Liberty A-League Women 2022-23 season as part of a wide-ranging new partnership with Australian football’s media rights holders Australian Professional Leagues (APL).

The partnership will help to protect Australian football from the threats of match-fixing and betting-related corruption through Genius Sports’ 24/7 bet monitoring technology and bespoke educational services.

Under the terms of the agreement, Genius Sports has been granted the exclusive rights to capture, manage and distribute official data from every A-Leagues match and distribute it to its global network of sportsbook partners.

Michael Tange, Director of Strategy and Digital for APL, said, “Genius are global leaders in data and integrity services and we are delighted to be building this partnership with them. Data underpins the Australian Professional Leagues’ strategy to make football Australia’s most entertaining sport.”

Genius Sports is also the official data and integrity partner to the likes of the NFL and English Premier League.


Sports content platform Decyfr Sport has announced the appointment of Sky Sports’ NFL broadcaster Neil Reynolds to its Advisory Board.

The association will see Decyfr Sport commission original content fronted by British presenter Reynolds, who will also play an active role in providing strategic guidance to the venture, as it looks to consolidate its NFL presence in the UK and European markets.

Decyfr Sport CEO Sid Kohli, said, “We’re beyond thrilled to have Neil on board. It’s no secret Neil’s been the de facto face of the NFL in the UK and is very much an ambassador for the league’s presence on these shores.”

Reynolds added, “I’m excited about what Decyfr is doing and where the venture is headed. It’s very much a passion of mine to create compelling content and explain the sport I love to a growing audience, especially at a historic time for American Football in the UK.”


Oliver Heer Ocean Racing has announced a three-year technical clothing partnership with British sailing brand Henri-Lloyd.

The agreement will see the brand support Swiss sailor Oliver Heer as he competes on the IMOCA circuit culminating with the Vendee Globe in 2024 by providing ‘high-performance’ apparel with ‘sustainability at the heart’ of its production.

Heer commented, “We are very excited that we have the support of Henri-Lloyd over the next three years. Henri-Lloyd are the natural clothing partner choice for our Vendee Globe campaign as they have the technical expertise, engineering capability, and shared sustainable values to help us succeed.”


Global digital sports platform Fanatics has announced the appointment of Anna Mitchell as Director of UK Business Development.

In her new role Anna, who has joined Fanatics after an eight-year spell as Chief Commercial Officer at Portsmouth FC, will be responsible for building on Fanatics’ strong brand awareness and forging new partnerships within football and sports more widely, across in-venue retail (IVR), eCommerce, vertical manufacturing, and licensing.
