Hotel group Hilton has extended and expanded its support for Lancashire Cricket.
The new agreement sees Hilton renew with Lancashire Cricket for a further year and broaden its partnership to include sponsorship the Lancashire Thunder women’s team for a three-year period.
According to a statement, ‘a major part of the agreement will see Hilton provide investment to increase Lancashire Thunder’s squad of professional players to 16 – by funding four additional full-time contracts.’

ARETÉ, the management agency for professional cyclist Mark Cavendish has appointed sports and entertainment business Moongoose to a PR brief.
London-based Moongoose will work alongside ARETÉ to focus on Cavendish’s final year of professional cycling, and his attempt to break the record for the most stage wins of the Tour de France.

A new £3.6m archery centre has opened at Lilleshall National Sports Centre, in Shropshire.
The new facility, which has been funded with support from UK Sport, will be used by Olympic and Paralympic archers as their daily elite training environment in the run up to the Paris 2024 Games.
