Newbury Racecourse and sports betting and gaming group Entain Group have announced a new commercial relationship that sees UK betting brand Coral become the title sponsor of the two-day Coral Gold Cup Meeting in a three-year deal.
Coral will sponsor 13 races over the two days on Friday 25th November and Saturday 26th November. The main event of the meet is the prestigious handicap chase, known for almost 60 years as the Hennessy Gold Cup, and more recently The Ladbrokes Trophy.
The £250,000 showpiece event will have the ‘Gold Cup’ moniker reinstated into its title to become the Coral Gold Cup, with a new perpetual trophy created for the winning owner.

Gallagher Premiership rugby union club London Irish has confirmed that Critical Metals PLC will become the principal partner of the club from the start of the 22/23 campaign.
Critical Metals is a London Stock Exchange listed company formed to identify and acquire brownfield mining opportunities in the strategic metals sector. Under terms of the new agreement, its branding appear on the front of London Irish’s shirts for the upcoming season.

English Football League Championship football club Norwich City has renewed its partnership with UK-based fitness training equipment providors Jordan Fitness.
Jordan Fitness has played a significant role in development of the Canaries’ Lotus Training Centre and 27,000-capacity stadium, Carrow Road. Under terms of the renewal, the company will continue to provide Dean Smith’s side with a wide range of fitness facilities.

The Royal Parks Half Marathon, presented by Royal Bank of Canada, has today announced British women’s activewear brand Sweaty Betty as the official exclusive apparel partner ahead of this year’s race on Sunday 9th October.
16,000 runners are set to take part in the event, 54% being women, making it one of the UK’s only major running events to have more female competitors than male.
