Three-time W Series champion Jamie Chadwick has launched a new initiative that focuses on increasing female participation in grassroots motorsport.

Chadwick, who currently races in America’s Indy NXT series, has partnered with Daytona Motorsport in a year-long commitment to provide free karting and mentorship for girls.

The programme will begin with free karting for all females above the age of eight at Daytona kart racing venues across the UK, before the launch of ‘The Jamie Chadwick Series’, an all-female racing championship that will take place over the remainder of 2024.


British Rowing and Scottish Rowing have partnered ahead of this summer’s Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris.

The new partnership agreement will focus on strengthening the performance pathway by supporting coach and athlete development on the GB Olympic Pathway in Scotland, along with ‘a commitment from all partners to work together on the identification and development of talented athletes.’

Work will also be done to strengthen the Paralympic Pathway.

Louise Kingsley, Director of Performance at British Rowing, said, “Scottish rowers make up an integral part of the GB Rowing Team. We’re looking forward to seeing this new partnership continue to build on a solid foundation of Scottish representation in the Olympic team, supporting and developing talented athletes and coaches for future international representation”.

Amanda Cobb, COO of Scottish Rowing, added, “This new agreement takes the pathway for Scottish athletes to the next level and builds on many years of successful partnership working.  We look forward to working with British Rowing to provide more opportunities for Scottish athletes to play their part in the GB Rowing Team. We are grateful to sportscotland for their support.”

The partnership will be supported by sportscotland, the national agency for sport in Scotland.


Specialised communication agency SoapBox London has announced that broadcaster, ambassador and campaigner Kirsty Gallacher has re-joined its roster.

Having previously worked with the firm for a number of years, Gallacher re-joins to ‘develop and deliver new social media projects and digital campaigns.’

Sussex Cricket has agreed a two-year extension with UK-based food brand Higgidy. 

The new agreement represents an expansion on the previous partnership, with a selection of Higgidy’s pies and snacking products set to be sold to Sussex fans at the 1st Central County Ground. 

Higgidy CEO, Rachel Kelley, said, “We are delighted to be extending our partnership with Sussex Cricket, which we know will put our brand on the radar of more cricket fans. Higgidy makes feel-good food, that provides big-flavoured, good-natured, crowd-pleasing meals to enjoy together, so this partnerships seems like the perfect fit.”

Obstacle course brand Tough Mudder has announced Alzheimer’s Research UK as an official charity partner for the 2024 season.

The agreement will see Alzheimer’s Research UK become part of both the registration process for tickets and fundraising, through to event activation.

The UK’s leading dementia research charity will be using the ten UK events to showcase its work and ‘share their vision for a world where people are free from the fear, harm, and heartbreak of dementia.’
