Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha has urged social media giants to take action after sharing a string of racist messages he received online during Crystal Palace’s victory at Manchester City.

The 28-year-old said “This message isn’t for me to get a million messages saying we stand with you and it’s disgusting or about me getting sympathy. I’m not here for all the nonsense that is behind done instead of fixing the actual problem”

Zaha, who has previously called out social media companies to do more in tackling online racism, revealed the racist messages on his Instagram just a few hours after the final whistle.
