The London Marathon 2024 will become the first marathon to offer equal prize money for its wheelchair and able-bodied races. 

The wheelchair prize fund for The London Marathon 2024 has increased by £43,000 to £243,000, meaning that all winners in the elite races will receive £43,500. 

Hugh Brasher, Event Director, London Marathon, said, “We are delighted to continue our commitment to disability sport with this landmark move that ensures the prize money available to our elite wheelchair athletes is exactly the same as for those in the able-bodied elite races. 

“We have made great strides in recent years towards our ambition to make the London Marathon the most diverse and equitable marathon in the world and this is another important step towards achieving that goal.”


The Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) has renewed its partnership with sports travel firm Sportsbreaks.

The online fan travel platform will continue to provide tickets and hotel accommodation for major PDC events, including the World Darts Championship, Premier League, World Matchplay and Grand Slam of Darts.

Rob Slawson, Managing Director of Sportsbreaks, said, “The popularity of darts seems to be at an all-time high following an exciting start to the Premier League and a captivating World Darts Championship.

“The buzz has certainly been reflected in sales of our darts breaks packages with packages for the recent World Darts Championships sold out in record time, plus extremely limited availability remaining for Premier League nights.”


Extreme E has revealed a new agreement with electrical charging solutions provider Kempower.

As per the agreement, Kempower has become the official charging partner of the electric-powered racing series with its products made available for drivers during the championship’s global events.

Pickleball England has announced a partnership with charitable social enterprise Better Leisure. 

As part of a partnership with, Pickleball England will be offering free pickleball taster sessions on 29th February, as part of a nationwide campaign to encourage the public to ‘get active on the extra day of the year.’
